Founding of Reisner Distributor, Inc.
In 1968, President Del Reisner established Reisner Distributor, Inc. in Anacortes, Washington. The company initially operated as a Texaco wholesaler serving Skagit County with a strong foundation of hard work, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
Over the years, Reisner Distributor has grown from its single-branded Texaco operations to a multi-branded operation serving Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and Island Counties. Now operated by the second generation Reisner family, the company has expanded its presence with offices in Anacortes, Bellingham, and Lynden. Additionally, a network of warehouse operations and a full fleet of tank and package trucks have been established to meet customer needs efficiently.
Founding of Nelson Petroleum
Nelson Petroleum was founded In 1967. At that time, Jim Nelson assumed the role as a commissioned agent with Standard Oil in Arlington, WA. Between 1967 and 1980 the business grew from a one-man operation to a crew of six, distributing Chevron products to neighboring communities in north Snohomish County.
Since 1980, Nelson Petroleum has grown from a 6-man crew to a 3rd generational company with 70 employees, operating throughout Western Washington. Nelson Petroleum is able to offer products from leading brands in the oil and gas industry. By embracing the vision of it’s founder and the hard work of it’s employees, Nelson Petroleum has become a major contributor to the oil and gas industry in the Pacific Northwest.
